Workshops and Courses
KCCIHS offers diverse programs available to the public throughout the year. We invite members of the community to join us to learn about Herbalism, Taiji Quan, Massage Therapy and even nutrition and health. Our offerings range from weekend long courses, one-time events, to weekly classes where you can join in with our students to learn something new. Intro to Registered Massage Therapy Workshop
A prerequisite for our RMT program, this workshop is not only designed for prospective students, but is also open to anyone who is interested in learning the basics of massage. This interactive and comprehensive weekend workshop includes: bio-mechanics for longevity, basics of Swedish massage technique and discussion around Registered Massage Therapy as a practice and profession.

Intro to Holistic Nutrition workshop
The Intro to Holistic Nutrition Workshop at Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences is a 2.5 day workshop that introduces concepts of whole foods nutrition, nutritional science and holistic health. This is a hands-on workshop that offers participants a taste of fermentation science, herbalism, food as medicine, and holistic cooking.

Chinese Herbology course
Introduction to Chinese Herbology is a rich and informative 15-hour course (completed in 15 weeks/4 months) in basic Chinese herbology and will be suitable for anyone 16 years of age or older with Grade 11 education. Individuals 18 years of age and older may apply as a Mature Student.
