Public Seasonal Individual Courses at KCCIHS

KCCIHS has a number of courses taking place during the summer and fall of 2021 that are perfect for alumni (who can either audit the course or include as CEU’s) or members of the public who are interested in learning from our incredible lecturers.



May – Aug 2021: Taiji Quan

This practical course focusing on mastery of the twenty-four pose form is designed to introduce students to the benefits of the physical exercise Taiji Quan.

Sep – Dec 2021: Naturopathic Perspectives on Disease, with Jessie Speirs

The Naturopathic approach to evaluation and treatment is a focus of this course. Students will engage in a case based discussion format learning how to organize and understand a case presentation from a western holistic and functional perspective. They will be asked to consider appropriate differential diagnoses, understand how to order and interpret lab results from independent labs as part of the evaluation process and integrate this information into a TCM treatment design. Basic Naturopathic treatment perspectives and interdisciplinary practitioner communication will also be covered.

Summer 2022: Advanced Meridians, with Kevin Wallbridge

This lecture and practical course will focus on in depth investigation of classical meridian writings and their correlation with modern scientific theory in the area of orthopedic assessment. Students will learn how to apply meridian theory to the postural analysis and body mechanics and give corrective exercises for postural imbalance and faulty movement patterns.
