Community Clinics
Massage & Acupuncture
Our massage and acupuncture community clinics are two distinct yet complementary approaches to promoting physical and mental well-being. Massage therapy involves the manipulation of muscles and soft tissues using various techniques. On the other hand, acupuncture therapy is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and involves the strategic insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body’s energy pathways, known as meridians.
Kootenay Columbia College is excited to offer a series of community clinics to provide invaluable healthcare services to the public while also serving as hands-on training grounds for aspiring practitioners. These clinics bridge the gap between education and practical experience, offering accessible and affordable treatments to the community.
