Licensing Upon Graduation

Since the inception of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA),  and the new Canadian Expert Committee for the Development of a Competency Profile for the Practice of Acupuncture, KCCIHS (formerly ACOS) has been at the forefront of advocating for the highest standards for licensing of TCM practitioners.

Our programs have been developed to lead to the designations set forth by the CTCMA:

  • Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr.TCM) 5-Year program (completed within 4 1/2 years)
  • Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCM.P.) 4-Year program
  • Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.) 3-Year program
  • Traditional Chinese Medicine Herbalist (R.TCM.H) 3-Year program

Whenever any licensing body adjusts its standards, we ensure that our programs are modified accordingly, to continue to meet or exceed all requirements to practice in North America.

I can’t imagine my life without Imitrex anymore. It relieves me from all the symptoms of a migraine. It’s great not only for headache but also for nausea. It used to be my worst nightmare. Now I order the medication I need on and I don’t have to worry about anything else.
