This program provides students with the knowledge of project management as a powerful practice in business. Students will understand the project life cycle, its stages, and the activities that typically occur at each stage in the project. The program will provide students with the skills necessary to identify the role project champions play in project success and recognize the important role ethics plays for successful project leadership. The program also provides students with useful insights into the importance of negotiation skills in project management.

What is project management?
Project management is the practice of planning, organizing, and overseeing tasks and resources to successfully complete projects within defined goals and timelines.
Who is the Project Management Diploma designed for?
This diploma is designed for individuals interested in organizing work, coordinating teams, and managing projects in a structured way.
Is prior project management experience required?
No. The Project Management Diploma is suitable for beginners with no previous project management experience.

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Understand and explain the project life cycle, its stages, and the activities that typically occur at each stage in the project.
• Determine the purpose of project management maturity models and the process of benchmarking in organizations.
• Identify the elements in the project portfolio selection process and discuss how they work in a logical sequence to maximize a portfolio.
• Establish the key behaviors in which project leaders engage to support their projects.
• Identify the steps in developing the scope statement.
• Demonstrate the steps involved in project team building.
• Evaluate the nature of conflict and evaluate response methods.
• Understand the importance of negotiation skills in project management.
• Explain the Project Risk Analysis and Management process.
• Apply common forms of cost estimation for project work, including ballpark estimates, definitive estimates, parametric estimates, and learning curve.
• Understand the importance of project scheduling techniques.
• Construct and comprehend Gantt charts.
• Distinguish between critical path and critical chain project scheduling techniques.
Admission Requirements:
Students are required to be 19 years of age prior to the start of the program or possess a high school diploma (or equivalent), and provide evidence of one of the following English proficiency requirements:
Completion of grades 9–11, including English 10 with a grade of “C” or higher, from a country where English is one of the principal languages; or
Completion of 2 years of full-time post-secondary education at an accredited institution where English is the language of instruction; or
Verified results for one of the English language proficiency tests listed below (test results must be dated no more than two years before the start date of the program):
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic — minimum overall score of 5.5
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT — minimum overall score of 46
Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) — minimum overall score of 40
Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) — Listening 6, Speaking 6, Reading 5, Writing 5
Duolingo English Test (DET) — minimum overall score of 95
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic — minimum overall score of 43
Cambridge English Qualifications: B2 First exam (FCE) — minimum overall score of 160 or “C”
Cambridge Linguaskill — minimum overall B2 level
LANGUAGECERT Academic — minimum overall B2 level
The Michigan English Test (MET) — minimum overall B2 level
iTEP Academic — minimum overall score of 3.5
EIKEN — minimum placement of Grade Pre-1
